As we have seen, the “Ride the Vibe” event is a unique blend of motorcycle culture and rock music, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees. On the other hand, music is at the heart of the “Ride the Vibe” experience. This year, the event is thrilled to announce the second band of the lineup, ANTRACT. Known for their unforgettable live performances, ANTRACT is sure to set the festival mood and engage the audience with their dynamic sound.
One of the highlights of the “Ride the Vibe” event is the performance by Rana, an alternative melancholic rock band from Pitești. Since their inception in 2016, Rana has captivated audiences with their unique blend of alternative and indie-emo rock. Their lyrics, primarily about love and occasionally touching on social themes, resonate deeply with listeners. With hits like “Cer chinezesc” and “Departe,” and their debut EP “Verde electric,” Rana is sure to deliver a stirring performance at “Ride the Vibe.” The band is working on their second discographic material, set to release in the fall of 2023.
What to visit in Ramnicu Valcea during Ride the Vibe
Of course, when considering getting to the festival, one could consider a ride off the city to discover the famous Ramnicu Valcea attractions. We will try and name just a few, specially picked up for riders.
Lake Vidra
Lake Vidra is located at the highest altitude in Romania and is the largest Lake in the Lotru-Ciunget hydropower organization. The anthropic Lake opened in 1972 and has a volume of 340 million m³, with an area of approximately 940 hectares and a length of 9 kilometres. Dense spruce forests hide the Lake.
According to locals, a gold mine in that area was kept secret, but the Nazis used it during World War II. When they learned that Germany had been defeated, the Nazis took the prisoners and all the underground documentation to detonate the area. Thus, no one could find out the cave’s exact location, as the stones from the explosion covered almost the entire region.
Lake Galbenu
Lake Galbenu is a tourist attraction visited annually by many tourists, with a breathtaking view. Galbenu Lake, together with the rivers Ciunget, Vidra, Petrimanu, Jidoaia, Mălaia, Brădișor, and a few others, form the most extensive hydropower development, being sheltered by the Latoriței Gorges Area. In this area, you can visit one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Romania, namely Borogeana Waterfall. Tourists can admire one of the most beautiful wild landscapes, with stone, moss and many waterfalls.
Buila-Vânturarița National Park
The fauna is as diverse as the flora in Buila-Vanturarita National Park. We meet reptiles (lizard, the wall lizard, brown snake, viper), mammals (horseshoe bat, typical bat, pond bat, black Capra, deer, badger, stone marten, forest marten, bear, lynx, wolf, etc. Tourists fond of birds can also admire the little screaming eagle, the red jay, the mountain woodpecker, the owl, the oak woodpecker, the black stoner, the mountain thrush, the evening tern or the mountain grouse.
Lotru Valley
Lotru Valley is among the most spectacular tourist routes you can travel on foot, by car or bike. You can cross this area rich in tourist attractions and relax in the Simfonia Hotel. Also, if you are passionate, you can go trout fishing in the rivers Lotru, Latorita, and Voinesita or in the surrounding lakes: Brădișor, Petrimanu, and Vidra.
