Transalpina Ski Resort – slopes
The Transalpina ski area is the most modern slope in Romania, being the preferred destination for those who want to experience the adrenaline of extreme sports. Skiing is a sport that is preferred and practised by most Romanians who choose to spend their holidays in the mountains. You can have an instructor to help you get used to skiing or boarding faster, or you can learn on your own, but it will take a little longer, and it will be more painful. Thousands of skiers were delighted by the inauguration of the ski area in the Lotrului Mountains, near Vidra Lake in the northwest of Vâlcea County.
The Transalpina Ski Resort ski area consists of seven slopes, accessible by gondola, chairlift or one of the two ski lifts. Everything has been carefully done so that skiers do not have difficulty climbing to the top of the slope. The slopes have a total length of 9.5 km, and there are plans to extend them in the future.
As I said above, you can reach the slope with the help of the gondola, which has an altitude difference of 623m, starting from 1320m, then it has a stop at 1850m, from where you can reach slopes 2 and 3. The last station of the gondola is at 1925m altitude. The distance covered by the gondola is 3071m, along the first slope. The chairlift is parallel to the gondola and connects with slopes 5, 6 and 7. It rises 185m level difference, from 1765m to 1950m, with a length of 1170m. Also, if you reach the top, at the last resort, you can quickly get the slope 4. In the ski area, you can use the two ski lifts provided. The first has a 755m, starting from 1858m and reaching 1922m. From here, you can get to the top of slope 2. the second ski lift has a length of 351m and starts from 1853m to 1974m. From here, you can reach slope 3.
